You Can’t Heal Where You’re Still Being Hurt

You can’t stitch wounds where the blade still plays,
Can’t outrun storms while you live in the rain,
You’re telling yourself, “Healing’s just a phase,”
While you dance with the ghost that’s causing your pain.

You can’t break free while you’re still on the chain,
Can’t mend a heart where it’s shattered each day,
You’re saying, “I’ll grow,” while you’re stuck in their games,
Trying to bloom in the dark where they stay.

You can’t love yourself while they keep you small,
Can’t find your worth where you’re silenced and bruised,
You keep hoping they’ll change, but they won’t call,
Love doesn’t look like you being abused.

You can’t find peace where your spirit is torn,
Can’t build a life where your dreams are denied,
You’re not meant to bleed to keep others warm,
You can’t keep pretending that pain is your pride.

Leave the room where your light keeps getting dim,
Let go of the love that cuts you like glass,
You deserve mornings that don’t start with him,
You deserve days where you’re free at last.

It’s okay to walk when staying costs your soul,
It’s okay to leave what’s burning you down,
Healing can’t happen where the hurt takes its toll,
Your freedom begins the day you leave that town.

You can’t heal where you’re still being hurt, baby,
Healing starts when you shut that door,
When you stop letting chaos call you “maybe,”
You can finally rise and become your “more.”
